Scaling digital capacity for
Economist Impact

The Economist

At a glance

Economist Impact operates where global influence meets rigorous analysis, and for over a year, we have worked as the agile extension of their in-house team.

What began as a trial in chemistry has evolved into a seamless partnership, designing bespoke assets for high-stakes brand collaborations. From article pages to social assets, we navigate the moving parts of their global production schedule with a steady hand – ensuring every piece is delivered with the precision and grace the world expects from The Economist.

The work in detail

A native workflow

Our designers and PMs underwent extensive training to work directly within EI’s bespoke CRM. By mastering their internal logic, we take full ownership of the design and build of article pages, ensuring that the transition from a Figma concept to a live digital experience is seamless.

Amplifying the editorial

Beyond the core editorial pages, we provide what we call amplification assets. This is an ecosystem of social and display ads created in Figma, often using Lottie animation to lift up the content without slowing down the user experience.

Flexibility as an art

By gaining a deep insight into EI’s specific workflow, we’ve developed an elastic capacity to adapt to their needs whilst keeping top-quality delivery. We can scale our team up instantly for intense launch windows, providing the same high-tier seniority whether we are producing one asset or one hundred.

The client perspective

I’ve worked with Two Marias for over 1.5 years now, they’re fast, creative, and just a joy to work with. They make everything feel easy.

Big takeaway

Seniority is the ultimate shortcut.

By working in a 100% integrated way – with the same access and channels as the in-house team- we’ve eliminated the friction of the feedback loop. Because our team brings a high level of seniority to every brief, we consistently hit the mark on Version 1. In a world of tight timelines, getting it right the first time is the most effective way to protect the energy of the entire team.
